About Us
The Spoke Easy — We're a bike shop. We're a bar. We're an independent music venue with a big ass patio. We do group rides and events that support the local community here in Charlotte, NC.
Located in the Elizabeth Neighborhood, the shop shares space with our sister company, Cluck Design, an architecture and design firm.
Our goal is to remove barriers to cycling, provide beautiful and functional equipment and stellar service to our customers. We live and breathe bikes and our products are geared toward the everyday rider.
The Spoke Easy has been voted "Best Bicycle Shop in Charlotte" 5 years in a row by QC Nerve.
How we started
The Spoke Easy was launched on 11.11.11 by Kevin Kennedy and Chris Scorsone to promote and support cycling. Kevin and Chris were already running Cluck Design when the space beside their studio became available. After working out some leasing deals and lots of research, they opened up a bike shop beside their architecture firm.
The chose the name The Spoke Easy, and the concept "Where bicycles and design meet" was rolled out. Launching the bike shop became a way to continue the exploration of city planning and community building through bicycles and bicycle infrastructure.
